Research Question 3

What XR and immersive or other related/complementary technologies, tools, and digital developments have the potential to help transform learning and teaching/training practices? (The voting portion will include forecasting: 1-2 years; 3 - 5 years; 5+ years.)

A list of candidate topics addressing this research question appears below. (Click on the name of each topic to see more information.) Please complete the following tasks for at least five of the topics. You are also invited to add new topics of your own, but before doing so, please check to make sure the topic is not already covered by one of the existing entries in the list.

  • Define the catalyzing technology if it has not been defined yet OR expand on the current definition if you believe that is necessary.

  • Illuminate any concrete examples of the enabling technology in action.

  • Pinpoint any technical limitations of the enabling technology.

  • Imagine the possibilities for the future of teaching, learning, and/or creativity if the catalyzing technology is applied effectively in tandem with XR.

  • Ask any questions that are critical for addressing in order to effectively leverage the catalyzing technology in tandem with XR.
