Socio emotional learning

Social emotional skills are shown to be as important as cognitive skills for academic, professional e personal success. They have recently gained attention and schools are looking for solutions to improve students’ social emotional skills. Given the VR and AR potential to elicit emotions and the restrictions to scale face to face interactions that enhance socio emotional skills – usually done using role playing or groups discussions – VR and AR are a great addition to help students develop these so important skills.

Illuminate any concrete examples of the need/opportunity in action.

Align effective pedagogies with XR and immersive learning technology usage that, in tandem, can fulfill the need/opportunity.

Imagine the possibilities for the future of learning, teaching, training, and/or scholarship if XR and immersive learning technologies are applied effectively in service of fulfilling the need/opportunity.
